K-Pop's JYJ with SBS PopAsia (Extended Version)
JYJ’s Junsu (XIA) is going down
under to hold a solo concert in Australia, and during his stay, fans there will
be able to catch him on their TV screens by watching PopAsia. The program is
carried on SBS (the Special Broadcasting Service). Junsu’s concert
will be the first stage performance to be carried on this program. During the
video recording of the concert, it will also be aired live on SBS
radio.
XIA did a concert tour of Asia that
went to Bangkok, Shanghai, Seoul, and Busan after he released his second solo
studio album last July. The tour got favorable reviews in the press with its
great performances. An Australian broadcast rep commented, “The response was hot
after JYJ’s previous interview. Following the news of Junsu (XIA)’s guest
appearance, requests have been flooding in on social-networking sites and by
phone, and we have been able to witness his popularity in
Australia.”
SBS is a public broadcasting
network, and about 40 percent of Australians watch some of the network’s
programs every week. PopAsia is the Australia’s very first Asian music
television series, and it records high ratings.
Meanwhile, XIA will continue his
tour in Japan after the concert televised in Australia.
