Lee Jun-ho of 2PM has
made a remarkable debut on the big screen. “Cold Eyes” (directed by Cho
Eui-seok, Kim Byeong-seo, produced by Zip Cinema) is his first movie, but he
appears 100% in sync with his character—the ace and the energizer of his
surveillance team. The movie is already looking toward 4 million
admissions.
It is hard to believe
that this is his debut movie. His acting has a character, and he perfectly
juggles the sharp charisma and playful charm of his character “Squirrel.”
“In the movie, Lee Jun-ho isn’t a
singer; he’s an actor. He put life into the character Squirrel,” praised
directors Cho Eui-seok and Kim Byeong-seo. His co-star Seol Gyeong-gyu also saw
his potential as an actor, saying: “He handled the character very well. I think
he’s got what it takes to be a good actor.”
Jeong Woo-seong gave him commendations for his
diligent attitude: “He is serious and sincere about what he does.” Han Hyo-joo
also added that Lee Jun-ho melted right into the film production environment and
handled his role expertly.
A rising
star in Korean cinema, Lee Jun-ho has become a hot name in the lis. JYP
Entertainment commented that they are surprised by the amount of interest shown
to Lee Jun-ho.
“He’s getting calls
from drama and film productions. Jun-ho is determined to work harder to repay
all the love and support he’s been receiving lately.”
“Cold Eyes” was released on July 3 and is already
heading toward the 4-million-admission mark.
